• Review the regular teacher’s routines and try to follow them.
• Clearly explain your expectations for behavior and participation.
• Post or review classroom rules.
• Establish signals for getting attention, like counting down from 5.
• Create routines for everyday activities, such as handing in work and asking for help.

Consistency and clarity help students feel secure and behave better, creating a smoother day for everyone involved.
