Lesson 6 of 9

6. Navigation – Aligning to Your True North

Live
Like a compass in the jungle, the Sage power of Navigation helps you choose your direction with clarity, even when the path is uncertain.

You’ve now explored the Sage powers of Empathy, Exploration, and Innovation. Together, they’ve helped you connect more deeply with others, stay curious in challenge, and build ideas that matter.

Navigate is the fourth of the Sage powers. When you are in Sage mode, you can use the Navigate power to align what you are going to do or what you are going to say with your values and beliefs. If eating healthy is important to you, and you are tempted to eat some junk food, you would use Navigate to ask which was more important, a short term reward of eating something delicious but bad for you, or staying the course of healthy eating, and you wouldn’t criticize yourself for whatever you chose.

Navigation is the ability to make choices, not just reactively, but with clarity and conviction, based on what truly matters to you.

Like a compass pointing to true north in the middle of a dense jungle, Navigation keeps you oriented, even when the terrain is challenging and the path ahead is unclear.

Why It Matters

When you feel short-term pressures or the need for expediency, it’s easy to lose your way from your core values and beliefs. You might find yourself:

  • Saying yes to things that drain you
  • Reacting impulsively to stress or pressure
  • Confusing what feels urgent with what’s actually important

Without clear Navigation, you can drift, or run fast in the wrong direction.

Navigation is about asking yourself whether what you are doing aligns with your core values and long-term goals and then adjusting your actions so they point toward those goals. When you do this, your decisions become more grounded, you respond instead of react, and you make trade-offs with wisdom rather than fear.
