Community Rules, Etiquette, and Privacy Guidelines
Welcome to the K12LEADERS community! We’re excited to have you join this space dedicated to fostering collaboration among educational leaders. This platform is built for sharing knowledge, building relationships, and driving educational innovation, and we invite you to help us grow by connecting with colleagues, partners, and anyone who can contribute to this mission.
Please review and follow the guidelines below, which help create a respectful and productive environment for everyone.
Community Participation Guidelines
By joining this community, you confirm that you have read and agree to follow these guidelines. As professionals, we’re committed to supporting each other and improving educational outcomes. All interactions here should reflect this mission.
While we don’t anticipate issues, K12LEADERS reserves the right to address activity that compromises the spirit or safety of this space.
By participating, you agree to the following:
- Use Real and Professional Identity
- Please use your real name and professional identity when registering. This helps build trust and credibility. While not required, we encourage verifying your identity for free, as additional features or rewards may be offered to verified members.
- Respect and Constructive Engagement
- Treat all members respectfully and encourage open, thoughtful conversations. Avoid any comments or behaviors that could alienate or stifle others’ participation. We value diverse perspectives and want everyone to feel comfortable sharing their insights.
- Educational-Oriented Content
- We are a K12 oriented network. Please keep that in mind when participating. We understand that there are a wide range of topics that affect how we support our students, schools, an districts. Please consider the context of our platform and the professional audience here. We encourage conversations that support educational growth, innovation, and collaborative goals.
- Welcoming Commercial Engagement
- We welcome the valuable insights and innovative spirits of commercial members and partners. If you represent a company or organization, we ask that you contribute thoughtfully and respectfully, understanding that promotion should be balanced with genuine engagement. Please avoid overly promotional content, and share expertise that enhances discussions for all.
- Content and Privacy
- We work hard to create a secure space, but please use common sense when sharing. Avoid posting sensitive or personally identifiable information (PII). And do not share identifiable information about any student. As an additional privacy measure, an anonymous posting option will soon (Q4, 2024) be available for discussions requiring discretion.
- Copyright and Intellectual Property
- Only share content you have the right to distribute. Always properly credit any material you repost or use here.
- Creating Groups and Cohorts
- You are encouraged to build your communities and groups here. Please search before building to see if your topic is already being covered. Many members welcome co-organizers in their communities.
- Zero Tolerance for Discrimination and Harassment
- We’re committed to inclusivity. Diverse opinions are essential, and sometimes uncomfortable, but any form of discrimination or harassment related to race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, disability, or other protected characteristics is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension.
- Student Privacy and Confidentiality
- Respect the privacy and confidentiality of students and colleagues. Do not post any student PII or share any sensitive information related to students, school personnel, or other protected information.
Reporting Content or Activity
We encourage members to report any content or behaviors that may violate these guidelines or compromise the community’s values. If you encounter posts or activities that seem inappropriate or harmful, please use the reporting features available on each post or reach out to our support team. All reports will be reviewed promptly, and appropriate actions will be taken to maintain a safe and productive environment.

Enforcement and Termination
