About Me | Sean Fitzgerald is a developing altruist as well as an experienced educator who has spent most of his career teaching in Boston. He currently teaches grade 4 and serves as a teacher leader. He has also supervised and mentored new teachers from Northeastern University’s graduate school of education. Sean is a general education teacher, but he also holds a license to teach English as a second language. During his career, he has taught in urban and suburban school districts throughout Massachusetts. Sean holds a bachelor’s degree from Clark University (MA) and master’s of education degree from the University of Massachusetts in Boston. Sean enters his 27th year of teaching this year. Sean is the founder of BTru, a community service based program aimed at helping others experience the joy and benefits of altruism. As a result of his work with students, he received the Kippy Dewey Community Service Award, and he was also featured on the podcast, Elements of Stiles to promote his program.Â
