About Me

Dr. LeAnne Salazar Montoya has been a public servant in Northern New Mexico for the past 20 years. She recently completed her doctorate at New Mexico State University in educational leadership with a minor in sociology. Additionally, Dr. Salazar-Montoya has experience as a leader, administrator and small business owner. She is married and is the mother of three children.When she is not working, she enjoys international traveling and volunteering her time locally. Her background includes involvement in many professional organizations, including ALAS, where she recently graduated from a year-long Leadership Academy. She also serves on the national education committee for Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society and she serves on a number of other local and regional non-profit boards. Professionally, she recently presented her research at the American Educational Research Association (AERA), The University of New Mexico Mentoring Conference, Women in Research Conference and other related conferences.
