Professional Background
Work History | As a life-long educator focused on innovation in learning and teaching, my work pivoted due to COVID. I’m currently designing and teaching, as Co-Founder and Faculty, a start-up MASTERCLASS for SuperintendentsLinks to an external site.. In this endeavor, I continue to reimagine and implement effective approaches to support Massachusetts school districts as education leaders try to transform learning and teaching for K-12 students and teachers. BC (Before Covid) I was Chief Academic Officer at LearnLaunch Institute, inventing and leading K-12 learning innovation projects. I’m a former K-12 public school educator having worked in several Massachusetts districts and schools including: Deputy Superintendent for Teaching & Learning (Newton), Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent (Watertown), Director of Curriculum & Instruction, The Carroll School (Lincoln), and Director of Technology Initiatives for the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents. I began my education career as a School Psychologist focused on learning disabilities (Ottawa, Ontario), and transitioned to teaching as an Instructional Technology Specialist and Professional Development Director (Brookline). I earned my Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Boston College Lynch Graduate School of Education, a CAGS in Instructional Technology from Lesley University, and an A.B. in Cognitive Psychology from Harvard College. |
